Site Manager – Fire Door Installation

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the installation of fire doors in all communal areas of a high-rise residential tower block. This is a critical safety-focused project requiring close attention to compliance, quality, and scheduling. Youll be responsible for coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring smooth delivery of works, and maintaining high standards of health safety and resident communication.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and oversee the fire door installation process across communal areas corridors, stairwells, lobbies, etc.)
* Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring timely and compliant work
* Ensure installations meet current fire safety regulations
* Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
* Liaise with residents, building management, and stakeholders to minimize disruption and maintain good communication
* Monitor quality of work and carry out inspections to ensure installations meet the specification
* Manage daily reporting, progress updates, and maintain project documentation
Requirements:
* Previous experience with fire door installations, ideally in occupied buildings
* Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations and standards
* SMSTS certification
* First Aid at Work certification
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work in a live residential environment with consideration to occupants
