Managing Quantity Surveyor

We seek a Managing QS for a large subcontractor client of ours. The role will involves leading a small team of commercial staff on a range of roofing and cladding projects between £1k and £4m in size.

Reporting to the Commercial Director.
Management and mentoring of junior surveying staff
Helping with dispute and claims resolution / avoidance
Developing collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues, group companies and suppliers to achieve successful project outcomes and best practice.

Experience Required

Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying
Previous experience of managing £1m+ upwards
Extensive knowledge of contracts in particular JCT and NEC
Someone enthusiastic and ambitious who can share in the long term success of the company.
A confident communicator with good oral and written English language skills.
At least part of your background is likely to have been spent with a main building contractor or building subcontractor.
