Junior Quantity Surveyor

Location: London

Salary: £2, - £32, + Travel to Site + Pension + Healthcare + Bonus Discretionary)

The Company:

Our client is an established £4m+ Contractor throughout the UK, with a reputation for exceptional delivery on some of Londons largest and most complex construction projects. Theyve made a name for themselves across the construction industry and operate in the Commercial and Residential sectors with leading Main Contractors throughout the industry. Our client has over 2+ years on industry experience and due to consistent project wins, theyre looking to expand their team across the Junior Quantity Surveying field.

As the Junior / Assistant ME QS you will have the following responsibilities:

* Assist in preparing project costs and contracts.

* Assist preparing tender documents, budgets, bills of quantities and other documentation.

* Collaborate with quantity surveyors and project managers, assisting with risk management and cost control throughout the lifecycle of the project to ensure successful project delivery.

* Review client payment notices.

* Help produce subcontract orders for supply chain.

* Support communication between clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure a smooth flow of information.

Ideal qualifications and experience:

* Experience in the ME industry or recent quantity surveying graduate/ Ideally some prior experience in Quantity Surveying or construction cost management internships, placements, or similar.

* Overall knowledge of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical systems.

* Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.

* The ability to work under pressure to meet set deadlines.

* Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.

* Strong IT skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
