We deliver reactive, planned and disrepair works across thousands of homes, keeping properties safe, comfortable and well-maintained, using modern digital systems to keep work flowing smoothly.

The Role

Were looking for an experienced and reliable Groundworker to join our NHG contract team. Youll carry out a wide range of external repairs and groundworks, including brickwork, paving, drainage, and reinstatement, ensuring high-quality results that meet client expectations and resident needs.

This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where youll be responsible for delivering efficient, safe, and professional repairs across occupied and void properties.

Responsibilities

* Carry out day-to-day groundworks and brickwork repairs, reinstatement and renewals.

* Undertake tasks such as paving, concrete works, minor drainage repairs, fencing, and path reinstatement.

* Deliver high-quality workmanship, ensuring all works are completed on time and to specification.

* Conduct risk assessments and comply with all Health Safety requirements.

* Record work accurately via the Axis mobile app and submit all required documentation.

* Collaborate with supervisors, planners and admin teams to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.

* Maintain tools, equipment and company vehicles in good condition.

* Support apprentices and uphold Axiss high standard of customer service.

* Work across occupied residential properties and be available to participate in out-of-hours support or emergency callout rota when required.

About You
Youre a practical, dependable tradesperson with strong groundworks and bricklaying experience. You take pride in your work, pay attention to detail, and are committed to delivering a safe, high-quality service to residents and clients.

Requirements

* Proven experience in bricklaying and groundworks within social housing or maintenance environments

* Valid CSCS card

* Health Safety training Manual Handling, Asbestos Awareness, Working at Heights, etc.)

* Ability to read and follow job instructions accurately

* Full UK driving licence and well-maintained tool kit

* Excellent time management and communication skills

* Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
