The Role:
As a QS at Lorclon, youll play a key role in the commercial management of our projects ” from cost planning to final accounts ” while gaining hands-on experience with NEC contracts and civil engineering works.
Key responsibilities include:
* Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts
* Supporting tendering, procurement, and subcontractor management
* Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimating, and cash flow forecasting.
* Undertake measurement and valuation of work in progress, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
* Preparing and valuing variations, claims, and change control
* Undertaking regular site visits and liaising with engineers and site teams
* Monitoring project progress and highlighting cost-related risks
* Maintain accurate records and reporting of project costs, forecasts, and performance.
What Were Looking For:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, specifically in civil engineering projects.
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or a relevant discipline
* Proven experience working with NEC contracts preferable
* Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
* Proficiency in relevant software applications e.g., Bluebeam, Excel).
* A proactive, team-focused mindset
