You’ve worked your way up to Ops Manager, now what?

It can be all too easy to get to a certain point in your career and become so busy doing the job, you never get to investigate how much further you can go. Especially if the company you’re working for is too busy taking care of delivery to consider the career potential of their existing staff.

We’re hiring for an Operations Manager (Ground Investigations) for a business who makes it a priority to develop each person in the direction that best suits their skills and ambitions.

It’ll be a solid move for someone looking to develop their management skills, or to gain more responsibility in a large company setting with an exceptionally strong rep in the industry. Whether you’re stepping up into this position, or across, you’ll have plenty to gain by making the move.

You’ll manage the operations and performance of the Coventry office ensuring budgets and targets are met. You’ll support the day-to-day operations management of all projects and associated teams, and manage clients closely with the business development team.

You’ll need a relevant degree level in Geotechnical discipline or equivalent, and a full and clean UK driving license due to site visits. Plus the flexibility to manage project work. You’ll be confident and comfortable managing a team and keeping people happy – while also driving performance and constantly looking for ways to improve processes, systems, procedures, services, and delivery. You’ll be the first port of call for interviewing and onboarding, as well as monitoring the ongoing career development for the Ground Investigations team.

Training is a big part of the culture here and there’s plenty of attention and capital that goes into it – this includes recognised industry accreditations and soft skills training. You’ll find you have the space and the resources to grow and realise your personal and professional development goals.

You’ll get a salary up to £65k (depending on experience), generous holidays, a company pension, and discounts on high street shopping. The Coventry office has had a recent dramatic refurb and is the hub for the UK business. You’ll generally work a day or so from home, depending on what you’re doing and where you’re needed to be based on live projects.

If you’re into first class client-focused delivery, respect for everyone, room to be progressive, and taking ownership in everything you do – then you’ll be in very good company.

Work somewhere that nurtures your career potential. Apply now, everyone will get a response.
