Poolhall Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of our manufacturing client, a well-established, family-run structural steel business, for an experienced MIG Welder / Fabricator to join their growing team.

Role Responsibilities

*

MIG welding and fabrication of structural and secondary steelwork

*

Manufacturing components such as beams, gates, staircases, balustrades, walkways, and frameworks

*

Working on heavy-duty fencing systems

*

Carrying out multi-run MIG welding up to 25mm advantageous)

*

Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

*

Producing work to a high standard of accuracy and finish

*

Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment

Essential Experience Skills

*

Proven experience as a MIG Welder / Fabricator

*

Strong background in structural steel fabrication

*

Experience fabricating structural and secondary steelwork

*

Ability to carry out heavy-duty MIG welding, including multi-run welds

*

Confident reading and working from engineering drawings

*

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

*

Good understanding of health safety practices

Desirable Experience

*

Experience fabricating gates and structural frameworks

*

Previous work to BS EN 19 standards EXC2 / EXC3)

*

Experience with heavy-duty fencing systems

*

Background in large structural or portal frame projects
