Would suit someone from a finishing Trade flooring,drylining,plastering, But the ideal candidate would be from a Painting Estimating background
Key Responsibilities

Attend site visits, meet clients, and compile RFIs
*
Prepare and submit competitive bids and tenders
*
Create bills of quantities using digital tools e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift)
*
Strategically follow up on bids and explore opportunities to win projects
*
Work closely with Project Managers for smooth project handovers
*
Build strong client relationships with property managers, councils, and inspectors
*
Collaborate with the estimating, project, and site teams
*
Identify leads with sales marketing based on market trends
*
Maintain proactive and clear communication with clients and teams
*
Forecast project costs and handle relevant financial administration
*
Stay informed on safety standards, products, systems, and industry trends
*
Review drawings/specifications and understand site-specific requirements
Requirements Skills
… Minimum 1 year of estimating experience required)
… Right to work in the UK essential)
… Full UK Driving Licence preferred)
… Background in painting or another construction trade advantageous)
… Proficient in Excel, Outlook, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint
… Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills
… Confident communicator with excellent people skills
… Knowledge of project logistics and construction phases
… Digital take-off experience and interest in tech-driven estimating is a plus
… A-level or equivalent qualification preferred)
