We are working on behalf of our client, a London based Design Build Contractor. Uniquely, our client has the core disciplines of architecture, interior design, project management and construction all in-house.
Project Description: A mixed-use development project located in Queensway, London. The project involves the construction of a 5-story building comprised of 3 apartments, 3 retail units, and an office block.
Job Description:
As a Construction Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the construction process of the mixed-use development in Queensway, London. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1.
Project Management:
* Take charge of the overall management and coordination of the construction project from inception to completion.
* Develop and implement project schedules, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget constraints.
* Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Construction Oversight:
* Supervise all on-site activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and identify potential issues or risks.
* Implement effective measures to resolve any construction-related challenges promptly.
3.
Team Leadership:
* Lead and motivate the construction team to achieve project goals efficiently and effectively.
* Provide guidance and direction to subcontractors and ensure their performance meets contractual requirements.
* Foster a collaborative and positive work environment conducive to productivity and excellence.
4.
Cost Control:
* Monitor project expenses and track costs against the budget, taking proactive measures to mitigate any deviations.
* Identify opportunities for cost-saving without compromising quality or safety standards.
* Review and approve subcontractor invoices and change orders in accordance with project guidelines.
5.
Client Communication:
* Serve as the primary point of contact for the client, keeping them informed of project progress, milestones, and any issues that may arise.
* Address client inquiries and concerns promptly, striving to maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
6.
Regulatory Compliance:
* Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and permitting requirements.
* Coordinate inspections and approvals with local authorities to facilitate the smooth progression of the project.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred).
* Proven experience as a Construction Manager, preferably in residential and commercial construction projects.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.
* Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards.
* Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and work effectively under pressure.
