The Role
An opportunity has arisen for a Temporary Works Engineer to join their engineering team based in Central London. The role will involve the design, coordination and implementation of temporary works solutions across a range of major construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and check temporary works in accordance with relevant standards and procedures
* Develop solutions for formwork, falsework and propping systems
* Support and coordinate temporary works for demolition and enabling works
* Liaise with project teams, site management and external consultants
* Prepare calculations, drawings and technical documentation
* Ensure compliance with Temporary Works procedures and CDM requirements
* Provide technical support during planning and construction phases
Requirements
* Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent)
* Experience in temporary works design and/or coordination
* Strong knowledge of falsework and formwork systems
* Experience in demolition or enabling works is highly desirable
* Open to Structural Engineers with relevant temporary works experience
* Working towards or already Chartered ICE or IStructE) is advantageous
* Strong communication skills and ability to work within project teams
